About Us

Austrahose is one of the largest independent industrial hose and fittings stockists with technical capabilities to service the offshore, mining and industrial sectors.

Austrahose was formed in 1990 by John & Joe Mania operating from a 600sqm complex to provide a local solution for supply and problem solving for the rapidly expanding industrial and mining markets.

In 1993 the premises expanded to 1100sqm

In 1994 to 2500sqm, a further 1000sqm was added in 2003 and in September 2007 expanding to 5000sqm.

In May 2007 the company was bought by the then General Manager ~ Merv Smith, whose broad industry background and experience is providing a pro-active approach for the future.

Since then the company has embraced staff initiated programmes taking Austrahose to the next level of service, focussing on “how can we help” our existing customers and provide tailored solutions to new customers.

With 13000 line items, 5000sqm of warehousing and a dedicated team with superior technical backup Austrahose are well prepared to service the industrial hose and fitting markets in mining, civil construction, agriculture, industrial, offshore, de-watering & waste management, food/wine and chemical sectors.
